Abstract
In this study, the results of an investigation on traffic noise in Konya are presented. The aim of the study is to determine the traffic noise in Konya and to investigate possible solutions to reduce the traffic noise. Noise levels are measured on ten different streets between 9 00 - 17 00 hours and the results are evaluated. As a result of this investigation, the noise levels on the streets considered are found to be exceeding the noise levels given by the regulations. Some proposals are suggested in order to reduce the noise levels.

Bu çalışmada, Konya'da trafik gürültüsü konusunda yapılmış olan bir araştırmanın sonuçları verilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı trafik gürültü seviyesinin belirlenmesi ve gürültünün azaltılabilmesi için alınabilecek muhtemel önlemlerin incelenmesidir. Çalışmada 10 caddede 09 00 - 17 00 saatleri arasında, genellikle, düzgün olmayan trafik akışı koşullarında gürültü seviyesi ölçümleri yapılmış ve sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir. Bu araştırmanın sonucu olarak araştırma kapsamı içindeki bütün gürültü seviyelerinin yönetmelikte öngörülen seviyelerin üzerinde olduğu gözlenmiştir. Sözkonusu bölgelerde gürültü seviyesinin azaltılması için bazı tedbirler önerilmiştir.
