Abstract
In this study, the effect of diluents in different structures on the extraction of malic acid from aqueous solutions with Aliquat-336, named chemically as tricapril metyl ammonium chloride, was investigated. Diluting solvents used in experiments are heptane, toluene, kerosene, cyclohexane and methyl isobuthyl ketone (MIBK). Furthermore, the effect of MIBK+Heptan mixture in 1:1 volume ratio on the extraction was investigated also. The extraction was performed at room temperature by means of a shaker. The distribution coefficients and loading factors were calculated from the experimentally determined results, presented as tables and graphics, and compared with each other. Among the diluents used in this study, the best results were obtained with MIBK.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, Malik asidin sulu çözeltilerden, kimyasal ismi trikapril metil amonyum klorür olan Aliquat-336 ile ekstraksiyonuna farklı kimyasal yapıdaki seyrelticilerin etkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan seyrelticiler Heptan, Toluen, Kerosen, Siklohekzan ve Metilizobutilketon (MIBK)'dur. Bu çözücülerin yanı sıra MIBK+Heptan'ın hacmen 1:1 oranındaki karışımı da kullanılarak ekstraksiyon üzerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Ekstraksiyon işlemleri oda sıcaklığında ve bir çalkalayıcı yardımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen deneysel sonuçlardan yararlanılarak dağılma katsayıları ve yükleme değerleri hesaplanmış, sonuçlar tablolar ve grafikler halinde sunularak karşılaştırılmıştır. Kullanılan seyrelticiler içerisinde en iyi sonucu MIBK'un verdiği görülmüştür.
