Abstract

Lower gastrointestinal system LGIS bleeding is a frequently encountered manifestation. Although it is rarely seen, LGIS bleeding is one of the reasons of bleeding occurring in anastomosis line following a colorectal resection. These types of bleedings are generally self-limiting. Various diagnostic and therapeutic methods are defined for severe bleedings that damage patient’s hemodynamics and occur in 1% of the patients following colorectal anastomosis with stapler. In this article 62 years old male patient to whom sigmoid colon resection and Hartman colostomy surgery is performed and whose colostomy is closed with circular stapler by colorectal anastomosis and whose severe pseudoaneurysmal bleeding developed in post-operative period in anastomosis line is treated with endovascular coil embolization method, is presented.
