Abstract

Prevalence of renal artery aneurysm is very low in thegeneral population and it is thought to develop due toatherosclerosis or fibromuscular dysplasia. Rupture is amongthe most feared complications due to its high mortality rates.Surgical methods in renal artery aneurysm are complex withhigh morbidity rates. Endovascular approach with coveredstent and coil embolization is a successful alternativetreatment in adequate patients. In this article, we report asuccessful endovascular treatment of sequential saccularaneurysms extending to the hilar area in renal artery ofsolitary kidney with a flow-diverting multilayer stent whereother endovascular methods were insufficient.
