Abstract

Lung volume reduction surgery is a resection procedurewhich reduces the amount of lung parenchyma. Itsindications include disabling dyspnea associatedwith hyperinflation, diaphragmatic dysfunction,and heterogeneous disease distribution. Our case wascharacterized with difficulties in assisted mechanicalventilation after coronary artery bypass grafting due toexcessive lung tissue compressing cardiac structures andhemodynamic instability. She was stabilized after lungvolume reduction surgery. We present this case due to itsrarity and difficulty in decision-making for the procedure.

Özet

Akciğer hacim küçültme ameliyatı, akciğer parankim miktarını azaltan bir rezeksiyon işlemidir.Endikasyonları hiperenflasyon, diyafram disfonksiyonuve heterojen bir hastalık dağılımı ile ilişkili engelleyicidispnedir. Olgumuz koroner arter baypas greftlemesonrası kalp dokularını komprese eden aşırı akciğerdokusuna bağlı oluşan destekli mekanik ventilasyondagüçlük ve hemodinamik instabilite ile karakterize idi.Olgu akciğer hacim küçültme ameliyatı sonrası stabilizeedildi. Bu olgu nadir olması ve işleme karar verme güçlüğü nedeniyle sunuldu.
