Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı 7. sınıftaki ergenlerde kardeş sayısı ile öz-kavram arasındakiilişkileri saptamaktır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmanın türü kesitsel tanımlayıcı anket çalışmasıdır. Araştırmaya IspartaMerkezde bulunan, 41 ilköğretim okulunda 7. Sınıfta okuyan 2795 öğrenciden 2676 tanesikatılmıştır. Veriler sosyodemografik veri formu ve Pierss-Harris Öz-kavram ölçeği kullanılarakelde edilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin kardeş sayıları ile öz-kavram puanı arasındaanlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Testin sonucuna göre tek kardeş ve 2 kardeş olanlar, 5 ve üzerikardeş olanlara göre popülarite, sosyal beğeni ya da gözde olma alt boyut puanı daha yüksekbulunmuştur.
