Abstract

Schilder disease or myelinoclastic diffuse sclerosis is rare disease which is characterized byinflammatory demiyelinization plaques in white matter. This disease is often mistaken foradrenoleucodistrophy and intracranial tumor. A-thirteen-year old patient who applied with thecomplaints of sudden onset of walking and speech loss and visual loss was thought to besuffering from Schilder and adrenoleucodistrophy by magnetic resonance image appearancebut adrenoleucodistrophy was excluded with laboratory findings. We present this due to itssymmetrical involvement and discussed the case with radiologic findings

Özet

Schilder Hastalığı veya myelinoklastik diffüz skleroz beyaz cevherde inflamatuar demylenizanplaklarla karakterize nadir görülen bir hastalıktır. Hastalık sıklıkla adrenolökodistrofi veintrakraniyal kitle ile karışmaktadır. On üç yaşında ani başlangıçlı yürüme ve konuşmadabozukluk, görme kaybı şikayetleri ile başvuran olgumuzun kranial magnetik rezonansgörüntülemesinde Schilder Hastalığı ve adrenolokodistrofi düşünülmüş olup labaratuar bulgularıile adrenolokodistrofi dışlanmıştır. Nadir görülen ve nadiren simetrik tutulumla seyredenolgumuzu radyolojik bulguları eşliğinde sunuyoruz
