Abstract

Persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC) and absence of right superior vena cava is the most common congenital anomaly in the thoracic venous system. Generally it is diagnosed as a coincidental finding during cardiac pacemaker implantation. In this case we aimed to emphasize the difficulties of pacemaker implantation in PLSVC by using coronary sinus route to the right ventricle and also how to cope with these difficulties.

Özet

Sağ süperiyor vena kava yokluğunda persistan sol süperiyor vena kava (PSSVK) varlığı en sık rastlanan doğumsal torasik venöz sistem anomalisidir. Genellikle kardiyak pacemaker takılması sırasında tanı koyulmaktadır. Biz bu olguda PSSVK’lı hastalarda koroner sinus yoluyla sağ ventriküle pacemaker takılması sırasında oluşabilecek güçlükleri ve bunların üstesinden gelme yollarını vurgulamak istedik.
