Abstract

Mesenteric panniculitis as an uncommon disease of unknown etiology characterised by nonspecific inflammation of the fat tissue of the mesentery. In this report, we are presenting a case of mesenteric panniculitis of the rectosigmoid colon in which characteristic findings of barium enema, ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic reconance imaging were noted. We emphasized the diagnostic significance of these methods.

Özet

Mezenterik pannikülit (MP), değişik derecelerde kronik inflamasyon, fibrozis ve yağ infiltrasyonu içeren, mezenterin tümör benzeri genişlemesi ile karakterize bir hastalığıdır (1,3). MP’de sıklıkla ince barsak mezenteri tutulur, kolon mezenter tutulumu seyrektir (4,5). Biz burada sigmoid kolonun mezenterik panniküliti tanı sı almış bir olgunun baryumlu kolon grafi, bilgisayarlı tomografi (BT), manyetik rezonans görüntüleme (MRG) ve ultrasonografi (US) bulgularını sunduk ve bu metotların tanısal önemini gözden geçirdik.
