Abstract

This study, based on computer aided design, consists of a number of investigations about model research for die design elements. The aim of this study is to fix die elements with computer aid . The design of the dies and the choosing of the suitable die parts that are generally carried out with classical methods cause time loss and cost increase for the designer. Moreover, in the possible design variations, necessary flexibility has not be able to be achieved. In this study, a computer program has been developed language capable of doing die design. According to the formed data base, strip layout design can be carried out, force analysis and force capacity of the press dies can be calculated , gravity force centre can be found and with design of non-standard die parts, the standard die parts could be achieved. The study achieves increasing rate, flexibilility and accuracy die design .
