Castleman's disease is a rare lymphoproliferative disorder most commonly localized in the mediastinum Histopathologically, three variants of the disease have been described: hyaline vascular, plasma cell and mixed type. We report an 18-year-old woman with solitary, hyaline vascular Castleman's disease located in the cervical region. Recovery was achieved by total removal of the lesion. At 16 months of follow-up, the patient remains healthy and free of disease.

Çoğunlukla mediasten bölgesinde yerleşim gösteren Castleman hastalığı değişik boyutlarda ortaya çıkabilen ve ender görülen, lenfoproliferatif bir rahatsızlıktır. Histolojik görünümüne göre hyalen vasküler, plazma hücreli ve mikst tip olarak üç alt tipi tanımlanmıştır. On sekiz yaşında kadın hastada servikal bölge yerleşimli, soliter, hyalen vasküler tipte Castleman hastalığı saptandı. Kitlenin tam eksizyonu ile cerrahi olarak tedavi edilen hasta 16 aylık takibinde hastalıksız ve sağlıklıdır.
