Abstract

Retinopathy of prematurity is a disease that is caused by abnormal proliferation of retinal vessels in babies with preterm birth and low birth weight and it may regress spontaneously or cause retinal detachment resulting in blindness. For this reason, it is very important to check the babies in the risk group at regular intervals. In this study retinopathy of prematurity of a girl with a gestational age of 34 weeks and a birth weight of 1800 grams, loss of opacifications in follow-up of peripheral bilateral lens opacifications is presented which developed after the first examination
