Abstract

Portal and hepatic vein Doppler findings of patients with portal hypertension were compared with normal controls. 45 patients with cirrhosis and control group were evaluated. Mean portal vein diameter was 9.5 mm, portal vein flow velocity was 19.3 cm/sec, hepatic vein waveform was normal triphasic form except one in healthy control groups. Mean portal vein diameter was 14.1 mm, portal vein flow velocity was 13.8 cm/sec in patients. Pathologic waveform of hepatic vein was detected in 58 % of patients. Portal vein flow, less than 15 cm /sec, portal vein diameter, higher than 13 mm and pathologic waveform of hepatic vein should be considered in the diagnosis of portal hypertension.

Özet

Portal hipertansiyonlu hastalardaki portal ve hepatik ven Doppler US bulguları sağlıklı kişilerle karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmaya 45 siroz hastası ve 45 sağlıklı birey alınmıştır. Sağlıklı kişilerde ortalama portal ven çapı 9.5 mm, portal ven akım hızı 19.3 cm/ sn ve hepatik ven dalga formu bir hasta hariç trifazikti. Hasta grubunda portal ven çapı 14.1 mm, portal ven akım hızı 13.8 cm /sn idi. Hasta grubunda % 58 oranında patolojik hepatik ven akım trasesi izlendi. Portal ven akım hızının 15 cm /sn'nin altına, ven çapının 13 mm'nin üzerine çıkması, hepatik venin patolojik dalga formu göstermesi, portal hipertansiyon tanısında göz önünde bulundurulması gereken parametrelerdir.
