Abstract
This study was conducted between 1994 and 1996 in the Research and Application Unit of Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Uludağ University in Bursa. Fifteen strawberry cultivars (Addie, Brio, Chandler, Cruz, Dana, Douglas, Honeoye, 216, Lester, Pajaro, Pocahontas, Redchief Selva, Tufts and Vista) planted in May and August were used to determine their suitability for adaptation. According to the result of the experiment, strawberry cultivars, Tufts, Lester, Pocahontas, Chandler, Selva, 216 and Douglas planted in May, which gave the best result with respect to mean fruit yield per plant and fruit weight within all cultivars, were determined as suitable cultivars for Bursa. Bu çalışma, Bursa'da, 1994-1996 yılları arasında, Uludağ Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Bahçe Bitkileri Bölümü, Araştırma ve Uygulama Ünitesinde yürütüldü. Mayıs ve Ağustos aylarında dikilen on beş çilek çeşidi (Addie, Brio, Chandler, Cruz, Dana, Douglas, Honeoye, 216, Lester, Pajaro, Pocahontas, Redchief, Selva, Tufts ve Vista) adaptasyonlarının uygunluklarını belirlemek amacıyla kullanıldı. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre, Mayıs ayında dikilen çeşitler içerisinden Tufts, Lester, Pocahontas, Chandler, Selva, 216 ve Douglas bitki başına ortalama verim ve meyve ağırlığı açısından Bursa için uygun çeşitler olarak belirlendi. Diğer taraftan, Cruz, Pajaro ve Addie çeşitlerinin Mayıs ayı dikimleri de Bursa için ümitvar bulundu.
