Abstract

Positron Emission Tomography/Computerized Tomography (PET/CT), is an important assessment method in restaging oncology patients. Its ability to detect the metabolic/functional changes in patients with colorectal cancer during the early stages, in which no morphological changes occur, is significantly better than the other imaging modalities.

Özet

Pozitron Emisyon Tomografi/Bilgisayarlı Tomografi (PET/BT), günümüzde onkolojik hasta grubunun yeniden evrele- mesinde ön plana çıkmış görüntüleme yöntemidir. Kolorektal kanserlerde morfolojik değişikliklerin henüz oluşma- dığı erken dönemlerde tümöral dokuda var olan metabolik/fonksiyonel değişikliği gösterebilmesi PET/BT’nin diğer radyolojik yöntemlere olan üstünlüğüdür.
