Abstract

Carcinoid tumors are rare malign neuroendocrine tumors and constitute 1-2% of all pulmonary tumors. A 58 year old woman was admitted to our clinic with dyspnea and hemoptysis. Thorax computed tomography showed central solid lesion on right hiler localisation, multipl noduler densities in all segments of both lungs and hypodense noduler lesion on liver. On flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy, the lumen of right main bronchus less then 2 cm below the main carina was partically obstructed by an endobronchial lesion. Biopsy was taken and revealed a carcinoid tumor. Due to multiple lesions the patient underwent octreotide scintigraphy, which revealed high uptake on both lung and hepatic lesions. As metastatic pulmonary carcinoid tumor is seen rarely, here we presenting the case with the review of literature.

Abdomende patolojik aktivite tutulumu izlenmedi. Metastatik pulmoner karsinoid tümörün nadir görülmesi nedeniyle olgu, literatür bilgileri eşliğinde sunulmaktadır.
