Özet
Bu çaiışmada Konya ve Karaman İllerinde meşelerde görülen kurumalar ve ani ölümlerin nedeni araştırılmıştır. Simtomatolojik inceleme, hastalık belirtisi taşıyan örneklerden yapılan izolasyon çalışmaları ile izole edilen mikroorganizmanın mikroskobik incelemeleri ve patojenisite testleri soüucu meşelerdeki kuruma ve ani ölümlerin nedeninin Ophiostoma (Ceratocystis) fagacearum olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu çalışma, Ceratocystis fagacearum'un Türkiye'de meşe bitkilerinde hastalık nedeni olduğunu ortaya koyan ilk rapordur.
