Abstract

A 51 year-old man was consulted from neurology department for visual impairment in his left eye. He had similar complaints in his right eye two years ago. On his initial examination, best corrected visual acuity was 20/25 in right eye and 20/20 in left. Bilateral anterior segment was normal, mild color vision impairment was detected in both eyes, 10/12 in the right and 11/12 in the left eye. Right optic disc had temporal pallor and left optic disc had indistinct margins. Concurrently he had oromandibular dystonia. After further systemic and laboratory evalutions hyperhomocysteinemia was detected. Herein our case we believe that the association of non-ischemic optic neuropathy and oromandibular dystonia was not a coincidence and possibility of recurrences should be kept in mind.
