Abstract

Purpose: In this study, we analyzed the effect of cataract extraction on blue-on-yellow (B/Y) perimetry. Materials and Methods: 30 eyes of 30 patients (age range, 50 to 80 years) were included in this study. Global indexes of white-on-white (W/W) and B/Y perimetries were compared before and after cataract surgery. Results: The mean difference between preoperative and postoperative mean deviation in B/Y perimetry (p*0.05, paired t test) was significantly higher than that of W/W perimetry (p*0.05, paired t test). Conclusion: W/W perimetry is a better diagnosis method than that of B/Y perimetry in the presence of simultaneous cataract and glaucoma.
