Systemic lupus eryhtematosus (SLE) is an idiopathic multisystemic disease characterized by autoantibody formation and immune complex deposition. SLE may cause ophthalmic complications by affecting nearly all structures of the eye. Lupus choroidopathy is a rare entity secondary to vasculitis of the choroidal vessels due to immune complex deposition. Herein, we report a case of choroidopathy with multifocal exudative retinal detachment and widespread retinal vasculitis who was then diagnosed to have SLE following systemic investigation.

Sistemik lupus eritematozus (SLE), otoantikor oluşumu ve immün kompleks birikimi ile karakterize, sebebi bilinmeyen multisistemik bir hastalıktır. SLE, gözün hemen hemen tüm yapılarını etkileyip oftalmik komplikasyonlara neden olabilir. Lupus koroidopatisi, koroid damarlarında immün kompleks birikimi sonucu oluşan vaskülite bağlı nadir görülen bir durumdur. Bu olgu sunumunda, bilateral multifokal eksudatif retina dekolmanı ve yaygın retina vasküliti tablosuyla kliniğimize başvuran ve yapılan sistemik araştırma sonucu SLE tanısı konan lupus koroidopatili bir olgu sunulmaktadır.
