Abstract

Enucleation and anophthalmic socket is still a challenging subject for the ophthalmologists. Enuc­le­a­ti­on may be associated with several intraoperative and postoperative complications. Orbital cyst for­ma­ti­on is a rare complication of enucleation. In this case report we have presented a patient who had infec­ted orbital cyst after enuclation and was treated with aspiration of the cyst and alcohol injection.

Özet

Enükleasyon ve anoftalmik soket, halen göz hekimleri için uğraştırıcı bir konudur. Enükleasyon sı­ra­sın­da ve sonrasında birtakım komplikasyonlar olabilir. Orbital kist oluşumu, nadir görülen bir komp­li­kas­yon­dur. Bu yazıda enükleasyon sonrası enfekte orbital kist gelişen, aspirasyon ve alkol enjeksiyonu ile te­davi edilen bir olgu sunulmuştur.
