Abstract

Metastases are the most common cause of intraocular malignancies. The most common sources of ocular metastasis are lung cancer in men, while breast cancer followed by lung cancer in women. Choroidal involvement has been reported in approximately 2-7% of the patients with metastatic lung cancer. However symptomatic ocular metastases arising from lung cancer is rare. In this paper, a case with unilateral visual loss and diagnosed as small cell lung cancer after ocular findings is presented.

Özet

Göz içi malignansilerin en sık nedeni metastazlardır. Erkeklerde koroid metastazlarının en sık nedeni akciğer kanseri iken kadınlarda ilk sırada meme kanseri, ikinci sırada ise yine akciğer kanseri bulunmaktadır. Metastatik akciğer kanseri olan olguların yaklaşık %2-7'sinde koroid tutulumu bildirilmiştir. Akciğer kanserinden kaynaklanan semptomatik göz metastazı ise nadirdir. Bu yazıda tek taraflı görme kaybı nedeniyle başvuran ve göz bulguları sonrası küçük hücreli akciğer kanseri tanısı alan bir olgu sunulmuştur.
