Abstract

The patient was referred to the ENT clinic with headache complaint, one year after an in- car traffic accident. His CT demonstrated findings of pansinusitis, together with a 8x4 mm image consistent with a foreign substance stuck into lamina papiracea inside ethmoid sinus. The foreign object was removed from the ethmoid sinus via the orbital approach. Any damage to the eye, and extraorbital tissues did not occur. Removal by orbital approach of similar foreign bodies in ethmoid sinus is safe. As a result, orbital approach may be preferred in patients for the removal of foreign bodies which is close to the ethmoid sinus
