Abstract
Gastric volvulus is often an unrecognized surgical emergency, its clinical and radiographic features are so characteristic that accurate diagnosis is possible if the condition is kept in mind. In this article we presented an acute gastric volvulus due to previous trauma. A 46-year-old men was admitted to our clinic with abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. Left lung lobectomy had been performed on the patient due to blunt thorasic and abdominal trauma 16 years ago. Barium enema study was showed gastrit volvulus. Total gastrectomy and esophagojejunostomy was performed.

Akut mide volvulusu, klinik ve radyolojik olarak karekteristik özellikler içermesine rağmen sıklıkla geç teşhis edilir. Bu yazıda daha önce trafik kazası sonucu sol lobektomi operasyonu uygulanan bir hastada yıllar sonra gelişen, tarafımızdan teşhis ve tedavi edilen bir akut mezenteroaksial mide volvulusu olgusu sunuldu. 46 yaşında, erkek, hasta iki gün önce başlayan karın ağrısı şikayeti ile kliniğimize başvurdu. Çekilen mide duodenum grafisinde mide volvulusu olarak değerlendirildi. Hasta ameliyata alınarak total gastrektomi+roux-en-y özofagojejunostomi prosedürü uygulandı.
