Abstract

Waste mushroom compost is a product that remains after harvesting mushrooms. Waste mushroom compost is a potentially environmentally polluting material and it is costly to destroy. The use of waste mushroom compost in plant nutrition has great contributions to plant production. Due to many advantages in our country, the amount of waste mushroom compost increases as a result of increased production of mushroom species. Due to the cost of disposal of waste mushroom compost and its use as a new feed source in animal nutrition due to its nutrient content, the recycling of waste to the economy has recently been the subject of investigation. In this study, the usage possibilities of waste mushroom compost in animal nutrition are explained in order to reduce the feed cost, which constitutes approximately 70% of the costs in animal nutrition.
