Abstract

In this study, the determination of variation limits of the specimens belonging to the species Galega officinalis L. {Fabaceae, Leguminosae) which were collected from some localities of the Karadeniz (Black Sea) region was aimed. The specimens were investigated morphological and chemotaxonomic investigations. In the investigation of morphological characters of the collected specimens, it was found that the variation number of the stipular parts and the structure of the tips of leaflets were important, but a natural grouping was not possible with the characters. The R/ values according to chromatographic results of chemotaxonomic studies were compared and any natural grouping also could not be found.
