Abstract

Since the first practical application of extracorporeal Shockwave lithotripsy by Chaussy e al and the development of second generation lithotriptors, shock wave has revolutionised the way urologists have managed urinary tract calculi. However, the technology isn't entirely safe and free of adverse long-term effects. We illustrate a case of large calyceal diverticulum which was formed after ESWL sessions.
