Abstract

An intraabdonıinal cystic mature teratoma identified in a six month old boy was diagnosed as fetoid teratoma (fetus in fetu) will be presented due to its characteristic macroscopic features. Fetoid teratomas are classified under the heading of mature teratomas according to WHO classification. Some authors do not agree, that fetus in fetu cases are mature teratomas but classify them as a different malformation. We report here the findings of this very rare entity.

Özet

Altı aylık erkek bebekte saptanan intraabdominal yerleşimli kistik matür teratom olgusu, makroskopik görünümü nedeniyle özellik gösterdiği iyin fetoid. teratom olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Fetoid teratomlar Dünya Sağlık Örgülü (WHO) klasifikasyona göre matür teratomlar iyinde yer almaktadırlar. Bazı araştırmacılar fetoid teratomları, matür teratom sınıfına sokmayıp ayrı bir malformasyon olarak değerlendirmektedirler. Çalışmamız nadir görülmesi nedeniyle sunulmuştur.
