Acute suppurative thyroiditis is uncommon disease. Of 224 reported cases of acute suppurative thyroiditis, %68 were bacterial, %9 were mycobacterial, %5 were parasitic, and %3 were due to syphilitic gummatous infections. Özet
Akut süpüratıf tiroidit seyrek görülen bir hastalıktır. Literatürde bildirilen akut süpüratıf tiroiditli 224 olgunun %68'inde bakteriye!, %9'unda mikobakteriyel, % 5'inde parazitik ve %3'ünde sifüitik infeksiyon bildirilmiştir. Oldukça nadir görülmesi nedeni ile akut süpüratıf tiroiditli bir hastamız literatür eşliğinde değerlendirilmiştir.
