Abstract

Lupus vulgaris is a progressive and chronic form of tuberculosis of the skin occurring in individuals with moderate immunity and a high degree of tuberculin sensitivity. The disease may primarily originate from, or extend to, the mucous membranes. A fifty-seven-year-old woman presented with two lupus vulgaris lesions, one on her cheek and the other on the nasal mucosa, both of which were found to be unrelated. The latter lesion was also associated with nasal cartilage perforation. A complete response was obtained from anti-tuberculosis treatment administered for for nine months.
