Abstract

Human and animals gain immunity against the diseases due to the microorganisms placed in their gastrointestinal system. The number and rates of the microorganisms change due to the nutrition and enviromental factors. The negative changes in gastrointestinal tract can be reduced to minimum by adding probiotics. This also has positive effects on the animal health and growth in healty animals. In this article, probiotic, will be summarized with their description, characteristics, mode of action and effect on the function and growth of rumen.
