Solidarity, which is expressing how members of a society is connected to each other feelings, thoughts and interests that perhaps not necessary until these days. It’s an important research issue in terms of “unity in diversity” to come together on the axis of common values, beliefs and attitudes. For this reason it’s worth examining the historical development of the concept. Because solidarity is a form of relationship that respects the equality and distributes rights and responsibilities fairly. Utopias give importance to equality, freedom and solidarity with assessments that go beyond the current state. Utopias seem as the product of your dream embody a strong humanity and moral ideal. Additionally what solidarity means in the context of an ideal society design, it’s an imagination or a reality. In this study, the concept of solidarity will be examined through the three utopias which are considered milestones of history of thought.

Bir toplumun üyelerinin duygu, düşünce ve çıkar birliğiyle birbirlerine bağlanmalarını ifade eden dayanışmaya, belki de yaşadığımız yüzyıla kadar hiç bu denli gereksinim duyulmamıştır. Ortak değerler, inançlar ve tutumlar ekseninde bir araya gelebilme olgusu, “çeşitlilik içinde birlik” sağlanması açısından önemli bir araştırma konusudur. Bu nedenle kavramın tarihsel gelişiminin incelenmesi değer arz etmektedir. Çünkü dayanışma, bireylerin eşitliğini gözeten ve sahip olunan hak ve sorumlulukların adil bir şekilde dağılmasını sağlayan bir ilişki biçimidir. Ayrıca ütopya/ideal bir toplum tasarımı bağlamında dayanışmaya nasıl bir anlam yüklendiği de kavramın bir hayale mi yoksa gerçeğe mi karşılık geldiğinin anlaşılmasında etkilidir. Düşte ve düşüncede kurgulanmış ütopyalar, mevcut durumun ötesine geçen değerlendirmeleriyle eşitlik, özgürlük ve dayanışmaya ayrı bir önem gösterirler. Düş gücünün ürünüymüş gibi algılansa da aslında ütopyalar, güçlü bir insanlık ve ahlâk idealini barındırır. Bu çalışmada, düşünce tarihinin kilometre taşları olarak kabul edilen üç ütopya dolayımında dayanışma kavramı incelemeye tabi tutulacaktır.
