Abstract

A sixteen years old patient who was under hemophilia type A treatment for fourteen years had consulted with skin eruption, fatigue, swelling of the right eye and right check. Acute leukemia was diagnosed in this patient. This is a rare coincidence. Although whether hemophilia patients have risk for developing leukemia is uncertain, in these patients who suffer from bleeding diathesis, concomitant other hematological disorder should also be considered.

Ciltte döküntü, halsizlik, sağ göz ve yanakta şişme şikayeti ile başvuran, 14 yıldır Hemofili A tedavisi gören 16 yaşındaki hastada aynı zamanda akut myelositik lösemi tespit edilmiştir. Bu nadir görülen bir durumdur. Hemofili hastalarının lösemi açısından risk taşıyıp taşımadıkları kesin olmamakla birlikte, kanama diyatezi ile başvuran bu hastalarda başka bir kan hastalığının da eşlik edebileceğini göz önünde bulundurmak gerekir.
