Abstract
Osteopetrosis is an inherited disorder characterized by an increase in Skeletal density. The autosomal recessive form seen in early neonetal period is generally completed with death in infantile period. The clinical feature of the autosomal dominant form is better and seen usually later. Certain diagnosis is done radiological, seen increased density in skeletal bones. Eighteen days old baby, suffering from poor sucking was admitted to our hospital. Osteopetrozis iskelet densitesinde yaygın artışla karakterize nadir görülen genetik geçiş gösteren bir hastalıktır. Hastalığın erken yenidoğan döneminde ortaya çıkan otozomal resesif formu genellikle infantil dönemde ölümle sonuçlanır. Otozomal dominant formu ise daha hafif seyreder ve daha geç ortaya çıkar. Kesin tanı radyografik incelemelerde iskelet yapısında belirgin dansite artışının görülmesiyle konur. 18 günlük emmeme şikayetiyle başvuran hastanın periferik yaymasında göz yaşı hücrelerinin ve normoblastların görülmesi, iskelet radyografilerinde kemiklerde yaygın dansite artışı saptanmasıyla osteopetrosis tanısı konuldu.
