Abstract

Although malignant fibrous histiocytoma is the most common soft tissue sarcoma of adult life, it is fairly rare in the head and neck region (%3-6). A 73 years old man with malignant fibrous histiocytoma localized posterior trigon of the neck was followed in our clinic. MRI scanning of the neck detected a multinodular soft tissue mass between the muscle of sternocleidomastoid, levator scapula, trapezius. Radical neck dissection was performed.

Özet

Malign fibröz histiositom yetişkinlerin en sık rastlanan yumuşak doku sarkomu olmasına rağmen, baş ve boyun bölgesini nadiren tutar (%3-6). Kliniğimizde 73 yaşında erkek hasta, sağ servikal posterior üçgen yerleşimli, malign fibröz histiositom tanısı ile takip edidi. Boyun yumuşak doku manyetik görüntüleme incelemesinde sternokleidomastoid kas, levator skapula, trapezius kasları arasında gelişim gösteren multinodüler formda yumuşak doku kitlesi izlendi. Radikal boyun diseksiyonu uygulanan hasta literatür bilgileri ışığında irdelendi.
