The article deals with the superstitions and obsessive reverences for some omens excited in Pre-Islamic Arabian society. It demonstrates that due to the peculiarities of the desert life i. e. perils hovered over the inhabitants of desert areas, there in Arabia appeared some superstitions connected with the natural phenomena, plant and animal life and some attempts were made to predict obscure future. Makalede İslam’a kadarki Arap toplumundaki sınamalar ve mefhumi düşünceler araştırılır. Makalede gösterilir ki, Arabistan’da dış çevre, bitki ve hayvanlar alemiyle bağlı bazı mefhumi tasavvurlar ve çeşitli araçlarla gelecekten haber verme cehtlerinin yaranmasının nedeni sahra hayatının zorlukları olmuştur. Makalede kuş uçuşuyla bağlı öngörmelere örnek olarak iyafet sanatı söz konusu edilmiştir.
