Abstract
The purposes of the study were to investigate fertility traits and some morphological characteristics of Lalahan genotype (Kıvırcık x Akkaraman B1) ewes. Oestrus, birth and twin birth rates were found as 98.70, 91.56 and 25.18%, respectively. The effect of ewe age on birth rate and the effects of ewe age and year on twin birth rate were significant (P<0.01). Average live weight after shearing, body length, wither height and chest girth of ewes were 52.29 kg, 67.43 cm, 65.91 cm and 90.65 cm, respectively. The effect of age on body measurements except for chest girth, chest width, head length, ear length and ear width were determined significant with different levels (P<0.01; P<0.001). Positive and significant phenotypic correlations coefficients among live weight and all the body measurements (P<0.01; P<0.001) were calculated. Kırkım sonu ortalama canlı ağırlık, vücut uzunluğu, cidago yüksekliği ve göğüs çevresi sırasıyla 52.29 kg, 67.43 cm, 65.91 cm ve 90.65 cm olmuştur. Göğüs çevresi, göğüs genişliği, baş uzunluğu, kulak uzunluğu ve kulak genişliği dışındaki vücut ölçülerine yaşın etkisi çeşitli düzeylerde önemli (P<0.01; P<0.001) tespit edilmiştir.
