Massive ovarian edema is a non-neoplastic edematous enlargement of the ovary proposed to result from partial or intermittent torsion of the ovarian pedicle. It is a rare benign condition and it is easily mistaken for an ovarian tumor. Masif over ödemi ovaryen pedikül' ün parsiyel veya intermitan torsiyonu sonucunda oluştuğu düşünülen, neoplastik olmayan ödematöz över büyümesidir. Nadir görülen bu benign durum sıklıkla ovaryen tümör olarak karıştırılır. Tek taraflı salpingoooferektomi ile tedavi edilen genç bir adölesan hastadaki masif över ödemi vakası klinik tablonun hatırlatılması ve özellikle genç ve fertilitenin korunması gereken hastalarda konservatif tedavi şekillerinin literatür bilgileri ile gözden geçirilmesi amacıyla sunulmaktadır.
