Abstract

Non-communicating rudimentary horn pregnancies are rarely seen. Despite the advances in ultrasonographic diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy, non-communicating rudimentary horn pregnancies are usually misdiagnosed since there are no definitive signs in distinguishing this abnormal implantation from a normal intrauterine pregnancy. Our objective is to evaluate and stress this situation. This report presents a case of 19 week non-communicating horn pregnancy, diagnosed at the time of laparatomy. The patient was admitted to the hospital at a 19 weeks of gestational age because of a nonviable fetus. After an unsuccessful attempt to vaginally delivery of the dead fetus, we documented a non-communicating rudimentary horn pregnancy following laparatomy. Uterine anomalies should be suspected when the interventions of therapeutic abortions are not successful.

Özet

Non-komunike rudimanter horn gebeliği nadir görülen bir olgudur. Ektopik gebeliğin ultrasonografik tanısında kaydedilen bunca ilerlemeye rağmen; normal implante olmuş gebeden ayırd edilebilen belirgin bir ayırıcı işareti olmadığından non-komunike uterus horn gebeliklerine tanı doğru konulmayabilir. Amacımız bu durumu olgumuz dolayısı nedeniyle vurgulamaktır. Bu olgu sunumu ancak laparatomi sırasında tanı koyulabilen 19 haftalık non-viable uterusun rudimanter horn gebeliğini sunmaktadır. Olgumuz hastaneye son adete göre 19 haftalık ölü fetusa sahip gebe olarak başvurmuş, başarısız vaginal yolla düşük girişimini takiben laparatomi yapılmış ve non-komunike uterus horn gebeliği saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak terapötik düşük girişimleri başarısız olduğunda uterus anomalileri akla gelmelidir.
