Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of the antirifampicin antibodies in the tuberculosis patients receiving rifampicin therapy. Methods: Antirifampicin antibodies were investigated in the serum of 77 patients by passive hemaglutination test. Serum of twenty-one normal subject was also tested as control. Results: Antibody formation was detected in 17 (% 22.1) of the patients. None of the serums of the control group was positive. Conclusion: Formation of the antirifampicin antibodies in the patients under rifampicin treatment was significantly higher than in the control group.
