Abstract

Objective: Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common malign soft tissue tumour in children. 20% of the cases are seen in the extremities. It has embryonic, alveolar and pleomorfic types which are defined by microscopic examination. Intramuscular hematoma must bear in mind when differential diagnosis. Case report: We present an 11-year-old boy with a prediagnosis of hematoma. True diagnosis was rhabdomyosarcoma by the macroscobic and histopathological examination. Conclusion: In rhabdomyosarcoma, early diagnosis and treatment is very important for survival.

Özet

Amaç: Rabdomyosarkom çocukluk çağında en sık görülen yumuşak dokunun malign tümörüdür. Mikroskobik olarak, embriyonel, alveoler, pleomorfik tipleri vardır Olguların % 20’si ekstremitelerde görülür. Ayırıcı tanıda kas içi hematom düşünülmelidir. Olgu sunumu: 11 yaşında erkek çocuğu kliniğimize uylukta hematom ön tanısıyla kabul edildi. Ameliyattaki makroskobik görünüm maligniteyi destekliyordu ve histopatolojik tanıda rabdomyosarkom geldi. Sonuç: Rabdomyosarkomların tedavisinde cerrahi eksizyon, radyoterapi ve kemoterapi uygulanmaktadır. Bu tümörlerin teşhis ve tedavisinde cerrahi çok değerlidir. Erken tanı ve tedavi hastanın sağ kalımı için en önemli noktalardır.
