National Immunization Days were started in 1995, in Turkey according to the polio eradication program. In NID extend, 0-59 month old children were vaccinated a total of two times on April and may in 1995-1998. Vaccination were held by each of the health centers and mother-children health and contraception centers within the Bornova Health Group Department region. In each region, vaccination was carried out by a doctor and two assistant health staff on 0-59 month year old children in their homes. Türkiye 1995 yılında poliomyelitin eradikasyonu programı kapsamında Ulusal Aşı Günleri uygulamalarına başlamıştır. 1995, 1996, 1997 ve 1998 yılı nisan ve mayıs aylarında UAG kapsamında tüm ülkede 0-59 ay çocuklara birer ay ara ile iki defa poliomyelit aşısı uygulanmıştır. Bornova Sağlık Grup Başkanlığı, bölgesindeki tüm sağlık ocakları ve AÇSAP merkezleri ile UAG çalışmalarını yürütmüştür. Bir doktor ve iki yardımcı sağlık personelinden oluşan ekipler kendi bölgelerindeki 0-59 ay çocukları ev ev dolaşarak aşılamışlardır. Bornova Sağlık Grup Başkanlığı bölgesinde UAG-1995 1.Tur ve 2.
