Abstract

Through recent reforms, some serious problems in the domain of healthcare in Turkey are attempted to be solved. The insufficiency of these reforms for Turkey as a country of development trend is quite apparent. Healthcare systems are among the most important indicators of social welfare. In the process of creating a healthy society, effective use of sources are closely linked with initiatives oriented towards increasing the performance of the healthcare system. In the following study, the location of healthcare services in Turkey provinces is analyzed under the light of basic healthcare indicators. The evaluation of the performance efficiency of healthcare systems as per province will be realized via data envelopment analysis

Özet

Türkiye’de sağlık alanında çok ciddi sıkıntılar son dönemdeki reformlarla giderilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Bu yapılan reformların gelişme trendinde olan Türkiye için yetersizliği oldukça açıktır. Toplumsal refahı belirleyen en önemli faktörlerin başında sağlık sistemleri gelmektedir. Sağlıklı bir toplum yaratma sürecinde kaynakların etkin kullanımı sağlık sisteminin performansını arttırmaya yönelik girişimlerle yakından ilişkilidir. Çalışmada temel sağlık göstergeleri ekseninde Türkiye’deki illerin sağlık hizmetlerinin konumu analiz edilmektedir. Böylesine önem arz eden sağlık sistemlerinin illere göre performans etkinliğinin veri zarflama analizi ile sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesine değinilecektir
