Abstract
This study is aimed to evaluate the entrepreneurship tendencies of the students having tourism education according to their information technology competencies. The study consists of two parts. In the first part, the conceptual framework of entrepreneurship tendency and information technology competency is discussed. In the second part, research method, findings, results and suggestions are presented. Throughout the research, literature was used as secondary data source and quantitative method is used to obtain primary data. Aydın Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Tourism was chosen as the universe to obtain information in the study. In order to represent from the universe, the fourth grade students of the faculty were taken as a sample. In the study, it was determined that the entrepreneurship tendency of the students receiving tourism education was close to high and the information technology competencies were at an average level. A positive lowlevel relationship was found between students’ entrepreneurship tendencies and information technologies competencies.

Günümüzde bilgi olmadan bir girişimin söz konusu olamayacağı düşünüldüğünde yapılacak girişim faaliyetleri için bilgi teknolojileri yeterliliğine sahip olunması ön koşul olarak görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin girişimcilik eğilimlerinin bilgi teknolojileri yeterliliklerine göre değerlendirmek amaçlamıştır. Çalışma iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde girişimcilik eğilimi ve bilgi teknolojileri yeterliliği konularının kavramsal çerçevesi ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise araştırma yöntemi, bulguları, sonuç ve önerileri sunulmuştur. Araştırma sırasında ikincil veri olarak literatürden faydalanılmıştır ve birincil veri elde etmek için nicel yöntem olan anket tekniği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada Aydın Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Turizm Fakültesi ana kütle olarak seçilmiştir. Ana kütle içerisinden Aydın Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Turizm Fakültesi dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri örneklem olarak ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerinin girişimcilik eğilimlerinin yükseğe yakın olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bilgi teknolojileri yeterliliklerinin ise ortalama bir seviyede olduğu ortaya koyulmuştur. Öğrencilerin girişimcilik eğilimleri ile bilgi teknolojileri yeterlilikleri arasında pozitif yönlü düşük düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma sonunda öğrencilerin girişimcilik eğilimlerinin ve bilgi teknolojileri yeterliliklerinin artırılmasına yönelik birtakım öneriler sunulmuştur.
