Abstract

In this study, phenological and physico-chemical evaluations of some F pear genotypes which are resistant to fire blight disease and were found have r 1 egistration potential as a new variety in the previous studies were made. Among the physical characteristics, fruit width was varied from 44.58 to 64.03 mm, fruit length was ranged from 52.73 to 84.11 mm, shape index was between 1.04 - 1.50, fruit weight was varied from 57.27 to 166.10 g and fruit flesh hardness was determined within the limits of 1.76 - 5.47 kg cm . S -2 oluble solid content (SSC), pH, titratable acidity (TA) and vitamin C properties varied between %10.23-17.37, 3.87 - 4.69, 0.15 - 0.56 g 100 ml-1 and 1.67-3.17 mg 100 mL-1, respectively. While the 2-13-1 genotype was prominent in terms of fruit size, better results were obtained from 1-12-3 genotype for phytochemical and 2- 15-75 was found promising in respect to over color which is an important criterion. Registration of genotypes could contribute to the country's agriculture as a production material and hybrids are also valuable as genetic material.
