It was determined that tea waste, mushroom compost waste and manure have resulted beneficial effects on the yield, average plant weight, petiole weight and leaf length of spinach plant. Nitrate, total nitrogen, calcium and potassium contents of spinach plant were increased by the applications of these organic materials. No differences were observed among the organic materials in view of total oxalic acid and phosphorus contents. It is concluded that tea waste and used mushroom compost waste materials could be used as an alternative organic material to manure due to their effects on the yield and physical and chemical quality factors in spinach plant.

Toprağa uygulanan çay atığı, mantar kompostu atığı ve ahır gübresinin ıspanak bitkisinde ürün miktan, ortalama bitki ağırlığı, sap ağırlığı ve yaprak uzunluğu üzerine olumlu etkileri saptanmıştır. Toprağa uygulanan organik maddelerle ilgili olarak ıspanakta nitrat, toplam azot, kalsiyum ve potasyum .içerikleri artmıştır. Toplam oksalik asit ve fosfor içerikleri yönünden toprağa uygulanan organik maddeler arasında farklılık olmamıştır. Ispanak bitkisinde ürün miktan ile fiziksel ve kimyasal kalite özellikleri yönünden çay atığı ve mantar kompostu atığının ahır gübresine alternatif organik gübre olarak kullanılabileceği saptanmıştır.
