Abstract

The fishing and feature of the turbot gill nets (single-walled tangle nets and trammel nets) and CPUE were investigated in the Sinop coast. The number and length of trammel nets and single-walled tangle turbot nets were determined as 405-46930 m and 3413-260002 m respectively. The turbot fishing carried out by these nets in the closed fishing season intensively. The 43.81% ratio of turbot landing were caught between April and May by the artisanal fisherman. The CPUE of the turbot nets was determined as 489.36 g fish/number of net

Özet

Bu çalışmada, Sinop yöresinde, kalkan avcılığı, sade (tek kat dolanan ağ) ve fanyalı kalkan ağlarının yapısı ve birim çabadaki av miktarı belirlenmiştir. Sinop (merkez) yöresinde; 405 adet 46.930 m uzunluğunda fanyalı ve 3.413 adet 260.002 m uzunluğunda sade kalkan ağlarıyla avcılığın yasak sezonda dahi yoğun olarak sürdüğü tespit edilmiştir. Sinop’ta küçük balıkçılar tarafından avlanan kalkan balığının %43,81’inin nisan ve mayıs aylarında avlandığı belirlenmiştir. Birim çabadaki av miktarı ise 489,36 g balık/ağ sayısı olarak saptanmıştır
