Abstract

Childhood cancers are severe pediatric illnesses. The children and their families with cancer usually experience psychiatric symptoms because of diagnosis and treatment. In this article we reported a boy-child who was twelve years old with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on high dose chemotherapy and radiotherapy. His symptoms were recurrent and responded psychiatric treatment during follow-up period.

Özet

Çocukluk çağı kanserleri ciddi pediyatrik hastalıklar içinde yer almaktadır. Hem çocuk hem de aile üzerinde belirgin ruhsal etkileri olmaktadır. Kanser tanısına ve tedavisine bağlı olarak psikiyatıik sorunlar ortaya çıkabilmektedir. Bu makalede, akut lenfoblastik lösemi tanısı olan, yüksek doz kemoterapi ve radyoterapi alırken tekrarlayan şekilde psikiyatrik belirtileri ortaya çıkan ve psikiyatrik tedaviye iyi yanıt veren bir olgu tanımlanacaktır.
