Abstract

Monitoring and control of valve systems used in industrial facilities is critically important for ensuring production reliability and efficiency. Traditional approaches rely heavily on manual field inspections, which lead to higher labor costs and slower response times. In this study, a layered architecture for remote monitoring and control of industrial valve systems using Internet of Things (IoT) technologies is proposed. The system integrates MQTT and Modbus communication protocols with edge computing and cloud-based data processing. Sensor data including pressure, temperature, and flow are collected in real time and processed using a PID-based control algorithm. Secure communication is ensured through TLS encryption. Experimental evaluations demonstrate that the proposed IoT-based system significantly reduces command-response latency and improves message delivery reliability compared to traditional monitoring approaches. The proposed architecture provides an efficient and scalable solution for intelligent industrial valve monitoring and control.
