Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of BAP, IBA, and IAA hormones at doses of 50 and 100 ppm on growth and biochemical parameters in Mentha piperita. The research was carried out under greenhouse conditions with three replications, following a ‘‘Completely Randomized Experimental Design’’. The parameters examined included seedling and root lengths, seedling and root fresh and dry weights, total phenolic content, and antioxidant activity (CUPRAC and FRAP). The results indicated that, except for seedling dry weight, hormone applications had significant effects on growth parameters compared to the control. The highest values for seedling length, seedling fresh weight, and root dry weight were observed with BAP50 treatments, the highest root length was with IBA50, and the highest root fresh weight was with IAA50 treatments. It was found that the applied synthetic biostimulants had no significant effect on antioxidant activities and total phenolic content.
